Wow, Ternyata Indonesia Pernah Cetak Uang Logam Emas Gambar Komodo

Thepresidentpost.id - Jakarta - Bank Indonesia (BI) pernah menerbitkan uang logam rupiah berbahan emas pada tahun emisi 1974. Uang logam pecahan Rp 100.000 ini merupakan uang rupiah khusus (URK) seri cagar alam.
Direktur Eksekutif Departemen Komunikasi BI Erwin Haryono mengungkapkan jika uang tersebut merupakan peringatan dan kerja sama antara Pemerintah Indonesia dengan The International Union for Conversation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) dan The World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
"Kerja sama ini untuk mengumpulkan dana sebagai pembiayaan pemeliharaan cagar alam serta perlindungan binatang yang terancam kepunahan di Indonesia," kata dia seperti mengutip detikcom, Selasa (12/1/2021).
Dari laman resmi bi.go.id uang logam pecahan ini terdiri dari gambar muka Lambang Negara Burung Garuda.
Kemudian Teks "BANK INDONESIA", Tahun penerbitan "1974". Gambar belakang Komodo. Teks nominal "Rp 100.000.
Selanjutnya menggunakan bahan uang logam emas kadar 900/1000 dengan berat 33,437 gram. Selain seri pecahan Rp 100.000 terdapat pula pecahan Rp 2.000 dan Rp 5.000.
