Thepresidentpost.id - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) instructed his staff to immediately find a solution regarding the Pertamina Plumpang Fuel Oil Terminal (TBBM) fire, North Jakarta, last Friday (03/03/2023).

This instruction was conveyed by the Head of State after observing the evacuation post at the Rasela Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA), Rawa Badak Selatan, Jakarta, Sunday (05/03/2023).

"I have ordered the Minister of BUMN and also the Governor of DKI to immediately find a solution to the incident that occurred in Plumpang. Especially because this is indeed a dangerous zone, it can no longer be lived in, but there must be a solution," said the President in his statement to the media crew.

According to the President, there are a number of options that can be taken to deal with this incident, starting from relocating TBBM to relocating residents around Pertamina TBBM. The President also submitted the decision to be taken by related parties in the near future.

"This will be decided in a day, two days, by Pertamina and the Governor of DKI so that the solution becomes clear," said the President.

Not only Pertamina Plumpang TBBM, the President also emphasized that all dangerous zones in Indonesia must also be evaluated and audited. This is important because it relates to public safety.

“Everything must be evaluated because it involves life. So I have ordered everything about it," said the President.

The President said that previously there had been plans regarding a buffer zone between residents' settlements and Pertamina Plumpang TBBM, North Jakarta, as wide as 50 meters. However, the plan has not materialized because it has not provided a solution for the local residents.

"Tanah Merah is dense and full, everyone has to find a solution. I think public safety, public safety must be the main point," he said.
