Thepresidentpost.id - Windhoek, Namibia - The Trade Expo Indonesia 2023 event which was held last October succeeded in collaborating with one of the entrepreneurs from Namibia, Josue Mahota. This Namibian entrepreneur is interested in batik clothes and bags that were previously sold and exhibited at Trade Expo Indonesia 2023 until finally opening a batik clothing and bag store in her home country (19/11).

"I really like the colors and patterns in batik motifs, so I finally decided to do Indonesian Batik business when I returned to Namibia," said Tate Josue, her nickname.

The Indonesian Embassy in Windhoek is also active in promoting Indonesian batik in Namibia through various events, including Trade Expo Indonesia. In addition to the Trade Expo, the Indonesian Embassy in Windhoek also often popularized batik on various occasions such as tourism exhibitions and trade shows in Namibia or specifically gave souvenirs in the form of batik shirts and clothes to several partners.

Tate Jose's success in opening this batik clothing and bag store is a clear example that this event is not only a platform for business cooperation, but also a source of inspiration for international entrepreneurs. Currently Tate Jose owns one clothing store in the city center and sells batik in various bazaars held in the town of Windhoek.
