YLBHI Kritik Aparat Menangani Demonstran UU Omnibus Law

Thepresidentpost.id - Jakarta - Yayasan Lembaga Bantuan Hukum Indonesia (YLBHI) menilai Polisi memperlakukan orang yang mengikuti demonstrasi sebagai penjahat. Aparat kepolisian menangkap ribuan orang terkait demonstrasi menolak Omnibus Law UU Cipta Kerja di sejumlah daerah.
Ketua Yayasan Lembaga Bantuan Hukum Indonesia (YLBHI) Asfinawati menilai penanganan demonstrasi belakangan ini justru mengancam kehidupan berdemokrasi. Dia khawatir jika penanganan demo seperti ini terus berlanjut, Indonesia mengarah pada negara otoriter.
"Penanganan demonstrasi saat ini, pertama, niatnya untuk menggagalkan atau setidaknya membubarkan demonstrasi," kata Asfinawati lansir CNNIndonesia.com, Rabu (14/10).
"Kedua, memperlakukan orang yang berdemonstrasi sebagai penjahat seolah - olah itu kesalahan atau tindakan terlarang, dibuktikan dengan penangkapan - penangkapan sebelum dan sesudah aksi," tambahnya.
